Poetry and the Process

June 12 I wrote Don't Let it Get You Down on the back of a postcard before going onstage at L Street Coffee. That was a while ago. I wanted something short and powerful in answer to a poet who proved long winded. It worked. The crowd loved it.

The Process

I’m daydreaming that I’m back at The Patti Hut in Atlanta. When I read the piece in practice, the last street names will intersect right above me’. One of my MyFriends wants to do a poetfest in Atlanta sometime soon. And I would love to come.

Also, I went back and added the comma in the title. Memory and Misery are a little specific, but I believe in my readers. We all can share a pain.
